2-day landscape drawing workshop in

Olena Babak, a classically trained award winning artist, will be holding

a 2 day workshop where she will focus on fundamental concepts in landscape

drawing following the traditions of the Hudson River School

that include: understanding principles of  simplifying shapes, light effects,

values and edges, and positioning objects in space. The workshop will include

a lecture, individual critiques, exercises & instructor demonstrations.

Canandaigua, NY

​

 

In this workshop, students will be concentrating on

color studies where the emphasis will be made

on learning how to see relative color temperatures, making

a strong engaging compositions while controlling values. 

 

Students will be encouraged to do a number of studies

in oil or acrylics from very loose compositional layout

to more developed artworks.
